Apple cider vinegar is known to help remove and prevent fungus, as well as remove any buildup of leftover product in the hair. We asked S. Daniel Ganjian, MD, who is a pediatrician at Providence Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, CA, to weigh in on using apple cider vinegar-based soaps for all ages. “Apple cider vinegar has been shown to be effective for so many different diseases and processes,” Ganjian says. “Apple cider is safe for everyday use, unless your child develops a rash, itching, allergies because of it, which is rare.” Ganjian also deemed apple cider vinegar ingredient safe for kids, but to check with your doctor first.
